Edward William Elphick first opened his shop in the High Street of Huntingdon in
1903, later relocating to its present site in George Street in 1911. The business
evolved and developed through these years and when EW died in 1955, his two sons
Jack & Joe took on the Elphick Empire. Elphicks developed a fine reputation and
strong sense of community spirit, building up a host of loyal customers spanning
the generations who could count on the quality and personal service which has always
been Elphicks hallmark.
