Kim Pittams,  Great Grandson of EW and Managing Director, joined the company in 1979 to became the third generation of Elphick to carry on the family business.  Kim, together with fellow director Brian Cooper has been responsible for many crucial business decisions over the years including the purchase of the carpet and flooring shop and the development of the new car park in 2000.  He has overseen their Grand Store extension which has just been completed.  This extension has achieved a larger and more  impressive showroom almost doubling the size of their already well established showrooms which now total over 11,000 sq ft

Edward William Elphick first opened his shop in the High Street of Huntingdon in 1903, later relocating to its present site in George Street in 1911.  The business evolved and developed through these years and when EW died in 1955, his two sons Jack & Joe took on the Elphick Empire.  Elphicks developed a fine reputation and strong sense of community spirit, building up a host of loyal customers spanning the generations who could count on the quality and personal service which has always been Elphicks hallmark.
